company recently introduced new a high specification Mazak
Integrex 200 turning centre with another awaiting delivery to
replace six older machines. Key to ABLE success is the excellent
working relationship with Mazak and a number of cutting tool
manufactures. This technical availability is important as ABLE
work with some of the worlds leading aerospace manufacturers on
short lead times. Working with companies like Rolls Royce,
Goodrich, Liebherr Aerospace, APPH and BAe Systems as an
approved supplier, with ISO: 9001 and AS9100 approval we place
quality and productivity as cornerstones of our success. ABLE
has delivered numerous productivity and quality benefits over
the last twenty years and their service continues to grow. One
such example has recently been noted on a titanium bracket that
was taking 2.25 hours to machine using carbide inserts. ABLE
introduced new technology cutters and reduced the machining time
to one hour - an exceptional reduction in production time. As a

ABLE is pleased to announce the news that
Mike Beirns has joined the business as Group Sales & Marketing
Director. Mike has many years of experience of the aviation and
hi-tech industries and has worked internationally in sales and
marketing with specific focus on providing customer solutions
within engineering, manufacturing and MRO environments.
His career history includes a Rolls Royce engineering and
undergraduate apprenticeships graduating from Nottingham Trent
University with and Honours degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
He has held a number of management positions with companies
including, Sermatech, Impact Finishers, Abrasive Developments,
Airfoil Technologies International and Barnes Group. Mike has
over the years gained credible knowledge and understanding of
customer expectations within the aero and associated industries.
His experience and enthusiasm will be a strategic asset, which
will be used to collectively develop and grow the ABLE business.
